Watchover is provided by Batuhan Engin, an individual developer. You can reach us at destek@goz-kulak.com. By installing or using the app you agree to these terms; if you don't agree, please don't use the app.
Watchover is an app that tries to block access to gambling and betting sites on the phone it is installed on. It silences notifications of SMS messages that carry gambling advertising and, if you choose, tells a person you trust (your supporter) when protection stops.
Watchover is not a treatment and gives no medical or psychological advice. If you need professional support for gambling addiction, a regional helpline is shown in the app where available; elsewhere it points to gamblingtherapy.org.
Blocking is not complete. Newly opened sites may not be on the list; your computer, a second phone, a different network or a VPN are routes the app cannot see. The app filters only the traffic of the device it is installed on. The doors you need to close yourself are listed in the app's Settings.
Site blocking in every browser, the supporter link and its alerts, the urge lock and the scheduled lock are paid (Premium) features, offered as monthly, 3-month and yearly subscriptions; the App Store shows the prices. Silencing gambling SMS, the Safari backup line and the urge screen with its helpline referral are always free, and the supporter side never pays. If you can't afford it, write to us from inside the app: we don't ask why, and we open access for a while.
Free trial. New subscribers get a 7-day free trial, offered as an App Store introductory offer. Nothing is charged during the trial. When the trial ends, the subscription starts and the price shown in the App Store for your chosen plan is charged to your Apple ID account — unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends.
Renewal. The subscription renews automatically at the end of each period, at the same plan and price, unless auto-renewal is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account is charged for the renewal within 24 hours before the current period ends.
Managing and cancelling. You manage and cancel the subscription in your Apple ID settings (Settings → your name → Subscriptions). We cannot cancel it from inside the app; store rules do not allow it. Cancelling stops the next renewal; the current period runs to its end.
Refunds. Purchases are made through Apple, so refund requests go to Apple (reportaproblem.apple.com). Apple applies its own refund rules and the mandatory rights of your country.
Prices may change; if they do, the App Store tells you before the change applies to you and asks for your agreement where required.
Which site you tried to reach is never recorded and never shared — not even with your supporter. Your supporter can see whether protection is on, the state of the lock and the numbers in the weekly summary; they see that an access attempt was blocked only if you answer "That was me". They never see which site, your browsing or your location. Details are in the Privacy Policy.
You can delete your data at any time: from the "Delete my data" row inside the app or from this page.
You may not use the app to monitor or pressure third parties who want to reach gambling sites. The supporter link is a voluntary bond: the supporter can leave at any time, and the protected person can remove a supporter at any time, except while a lock they set is running. You may not attempt to interfere with the service, other users' devices or the pairing mechanism.
The app is provided "as is". To the extent the law allows, we cannot be held responsible for consequences arising from blocking missing a site, or from a notification being delayed or not delivered. Protection does not replace human will or real support. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under the law of your country of residence.
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Türkiye, without prejudice to the mandatory consumer-protection rules of the country where you habitually reside — if those give you more protection, they apply. If you are a consumer in the European Union, you may also use the European Commission's online dispute resolution platform at ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr. Before any formal step, write to us; most issues are sorted out by email.
These terms may be updated from time to time. Important changes are announced inside the app; the date at the top shows the current version.
